West Michigan Wedding Photographer ~Chad & Lindsay
I had the great pleasure of meeting Lindsay last year when she asked me to do the honor of being her wedding photographer. When she told me she was having the wedding and reception at a Girl Scout Camp in Greenville- I said “say what?!?” She told me it was nice and I said “okay! I can’t wait to see it!”… then she said the theme was Emerald (yay- color of the year!) and zebra! I said “say what?!?” again! I hadn’t ever heard of a zebra themed wedding! I was very excited to see how she would pull it off! I have to say “what!” again because it was super cute! And a shout-out to the Girl Scout Camp Anna Behrens Sherwood Lodge too because it was great! Beautiful surroundings and a huge spacious building for the wedding and reception! Holland MI Wedding Photographer ~Jeremy & Liz
A huge shout out to newly-weds Jeremy & Liz! It was such a pleasure photographing their wedding in Holland MI. The reception was gorgeous and loads of fun at the Trestle Stop in Hamilton MI.
Jeremy & Liz first met in class at college. Liz says that she knew Jeremy was “the one” when she couldn’t imagine her life without him. These two are so sweet and loving. Jeremy said he adores Liz’ selflessness and Liz said she was bowled over by Jeremy’s kindness to others. I love how Jeremy just can’t stop smiling when he’s looking at Liz!
The Proposal: Jeremy surprised Liz with a candle lit dinner and dessert. She was very surprised and excited!
Besides getting married -‐ what’s the one thing they were looking forward to on their wedding day? The food and dancing!
What inspired their décor or theme? pinterest!

Grandville Michigan Engagement Pictures {Jeremy & Elizabeth}
Jeremy and Elizabeth are such a sweet couple! I’m honored to be photographing their wedding in May next year! They will be having a wedding outdoors in Holland, Michigan! So exciting!
Their engagement session was a lot of fun! I love it when we can capture the romance and feeling in a couple’s eyes. Its such a joy to capture them in this exciting stage in their lives! For all you who are getting married soon- don’t forget the engagement portraits. Sometimes people think that its not really important because they will be having lots of wedding pictures soon, but the truth is, you are only engaged once and this time of your life is truly special to look back on and remember. It brings back all kinds of memories even long after the wedding!

Grand Rapids Wedding Planning
When you are planning a grand rapids wedding, often times the ‘little touches’ are overlooked. These touches are usually inexpensive but do require some planning and forethought as well as a little time. Amanda & Mike took time to create some wonderful touches that helped make their wedding unique. See a few here below. They include signs (hand painted!) that make the guests feel comfortable as well as sweet dog collars for their two dogs that joined them during the ceremony. Instead of a traditional guestbook, Mike & Amanda had a large quilt with fabric pens for the guests to sign. How fun is that!?! Recent Work in a Slideshow (Grand Rapids Photographer)

Photography 101 Classes!
Are you sick of taking sub-par pictures of your children? Are your photo albums and scrapbooks full of pictures with red eye, shadows masking their faces, and rarely looking at the camera? If so, we have good news for you! Details ETC’s Jessica Christensen is teaching Photography 101 with basic photography techniques in Grand Rapids, MI.
This set of two-(one-hour) classes will be held on various dates. See http://www.detailsetcphoto.com/class/contact.html to choose your favorite class time/dates.
Master the basic elements of photography and learn how to use your digital camera too. We will discuss, lighting, camera settings, getting the kiddos to cooperate and more! After the first class you will have a week to practice what you have learned and come back with your results (and questions!) We will also host a contest and the winner will receive a family portrait by yours truly with a 16×20 portrait!
Classes are normally $125 per student however if you register/pay by July 15th you will be able to register for just $65! That’s nearly 1/2 off!
